The big thing that I learned was the use of forms. I have been looking for an EASY way for parents to give their info. It will also save time because of the fact that it automatically put it in a spreadsheet. This is a HUGE time-saver.

I am going to enjoy using forms to solicit input from parents. I feel that they will be more honest about some of their input if it is anonymous.

Learning how to use Google Doc to make forms.

I will use the forms to create a database for keeping info about my students handy throughout the year...from names, lunch numbers, tech IDs, parents' names and numbers, etc.

I will use the blog that I created and the form. I am planning on attaching the form to my school website and have students/parents complete the form after open house.

Google Docs gives me the opportunity to embed my calendars and power points for units in the classroom. This will help me keep up with students who are absent from a review session or introduction. They can use my website to be updated on what is going on in the classroom when they are not present.
Also, the forms will not only make it easier to keep up with parent information and student registration, but will reduce the amount of copies I must make for open house and math team registration.

I really liked seeing how well the Google tools worked together. I will probably use the "forms" tool the most to help organize information.

I am excited to use the various Google documents and the use of the various tools Google has to offer. I want the teachers at my school to realize how useful Google is and how helpful it will be to their websites and classroom use.

I will use the gmail account that I learned how to create yesterday. I also learned that the "s" at the end of "https" indicates that it is a secure site.

I learned ALL about Google Sites! I had never used this Google tool and it is one that I think I will use quite a bit from now on.

I also learned that I need to stay far, far away from Magic Muffins!!

I liked learning how to use the forms. I can have parents fill these forms out on my website and google will automatically put it in a excel sheet.

I also like the shared calendar-this can also go on websites. I can share it with my husband so he can keep up with our home calendar on line.

I love being able to share documents with people who are not right beside me. I can get their opinion on what I am writing and they can edit for me.

In learning to create my iGoogle page, I found so many gadgets that I will use in teaching that are specific to lesson plans I use. I learned to create a form that I will use at the beginning of the school year and now I can create other forms!

This is a great way to learn. The class is relaxed and the tone of the teacher is inviting.

I enjoyed learning about embedding forms. In fact, it was such a revelation to me that I have already included an embedded form on the band's website: http://www.libertyparkband.com
